UTE M12 RoboBender Improved
2009-04-09We've refined the UTE M12 RoboBender to include a larger (now holds over 1000 tubes, 3/8" OD) and longer tube hopper (from 2 1/2" up to 18" lengths), with extensive software modifications to help overcome 'straightness' issues as the tubes get longer and longer; especially in annealed copper and aluminum.
Here's the link on Youtube.
Applications typically include tube and wire (don't forget wire applications in which this machine could replace typical 4-slide wire benders).
So called "header or feeder tubes" out of a manifold, or evaporator would apply. "Crossover" tubes for connecting circuits in AC coils is a great application. Many wire parts are in the same plane.
Our first customer for this machine reports less than 12 month payback, eliminating 4 operators tediously loading CNC benders, making 1 part at a time. 4 operators at typical $ 35,000/year (wages + benefits) = $ 140,000.00.
Of less tangible value was the RoboBender freed up several CNC tube benders that were underutilized and could be used for other more complex tube bending.
This is a 'no brainer' for the right customer
