It is required to interact and work with the production supervisor, shop foreman, technicians, and machinists. Communicating with sales representatives and customers is also a vital component in producing the correct tooling for the customer. Create floorplans for work cells using DraftSight or SolidWorks

  • Taking existing floorplans of machines and bringing them all together to create a 2D layout for the customer to see how it will fit in their facility.

Design various machine parts

  • Customers may break parts on machines that cause them to not be operational and look to UTE to get the part to them as soon as possible. We have various part files unrelated to tooling that we are able to produce in house to help the customer. Occasionally we have to come up with the design to produce the part.• Designing adapters for new motors to replace old motors that have different mating patterns.
  • Designing parts to completely rebuild a machine.
  • Convert part files provided by customers to be produced on our machines.
  • Run simulation of parts using BendPro offline software.
  • Place customer parts in a tooling assembly to verify interferences or special tooling design prior to submitting a quote to a customer.
