This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Phillip Nuckols, UTE’s General Manager. Phillip has been a valued member of the UTE team for 15 years, beginning his career here as a machinist before working his way into his current leadership role.
When he’s not at UTE, Phillip enjoys life in a cabin nestled in the Smoky Mountains along the border of the Cherokee National Forest. He and his wife are raising two children and enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. Their family also keeps busy caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, chickens, goats, and even a pot-bellied pig.
One fun fact about Phillip? As a 12-year-old playing Little League All-Stars, he hit three home runs in a single inning, one solo shot and two grand slams as the lead-off batter.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at UTE, Phillip points to the company’s close-knit culture. “I love the small-company atmosphere. You’re not just a number here, and your opinion matters. There’s always something new and exciting happening every day.”
Thank you, Phillip, for your dedication, leadership, and 15 years of helping make UTE a success!
